Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, now back to school.
That near month went by so fast! Probably because I worked crazy lots.
This has been my first Christmas home in 2 years, so it was really nice to be home. We had a good, although it was quiet. Grandma went to visit one of my aunts out of town, so it was just me, mom and sister(and the cats of course!). We didn't have any snow, or any hope of getting snow in the run up to Christmas, but, of course, on Christmas eve snowflakes the size of golf balls were falling! It was a gorgeous night, perfectly cold, no wind, the snow was just falling from the sky. At Science North there's a live nativity put on every Christmas, so we went to see that and was made even better by the snow. And, of course, what could make it better but fireworks at the end of the live nativity? Lovely! Christmas morning was nice too, I love stockings, to me they are the best part of Christmas morning. Mom always makes yummy french toast with berry sauce, very yummy!
We also went to the National Ballet to see the Nutcracker - something I've been waiting almost my whole life to see. It was amazing, the costumes, the sets, the dancing, the music. Love it all so so much. I wish I could dance like the ballerinas could, they are the definition of grace to me.
I got some skis for Christmas, and unfortunately the snow on our local ski hill is going to be very poor with the weather being warm, then freezing cold..ould probably skate down the hill better than ski!
So does that mean going out west is the best option? Any excuse to get out there again, I'll take!
xx
