No more school!

...for a month at least! Exams, done. Glad to be off for a bit, but didn't find them too bad! I didn't get too stressed, which is good, but ate quite a bit of junk..I think that's my coping mechanism haha!
Just got back from visiting Miss. Liz in O-town! So nice to get together. It was a more chill weekend, but I think it was great that way. Pertying and whatnot is grand, but I think people who aren't really friends can't just chill and watch tv(or wedding shows galore!). We got some hypothetical wedding planning done, ring shopping included. FYI, Liz has very, very expensive taste, poor lad who ends up with that bill <3
So with having this time off, with just work keeping me busy, I'm thinking I'm going to try to get some baking done. Thing is, it's actually been years since I've done any Christmas baking! I would really love to master shortbread actually. Almost everyone appreciates a good piece of shortbread, and it's just so Christmas-y - especially with the red and green sugar on top! What other baking bits are the taste of Christmas?
I think every year I have a romantic picture of baking all thses delisious bits then eating them with tea and hot chocolate while watching classic Christmas movies (like Prancer, the Nutcracker Ballet and Charlie Browns Christmas, The Grinch too!) along with newer ones (like Love Actually and The Holiday). This picture never seems to happen, but hopefully this year I'll be able to complete it, or at least get some yummies made :)
One thing I do have an issue with still - serious lack of snow. I can't, and won't, get over it! Last Thursday we got 10-15 cms of snow in a few hours, it was so nice aaannnddd then it rained. dumb dumb rain. If I wanted snow to be gone by rain, I would have stayed in Ireland. For reals weather!
Wish me luck with the week of baking ahead, and if there's any essential bits that should be added to the cookie tray, do pass them on! I'll let y'all know how they turn out(maybe with pictures!)

So the end of November, and still no snow. This is seriously depressing. Is Sudbury in a no-snow bubble? I hope not, it should not be raining, it should be snowing! agh.
But just THAT much closer to being done school this semester! I have a few days ahead of me for my economice final..I was such a keener for the review, I typed it up, and made my graphs all nice! Let's hope I kill this bad guy! Last Tuesday was one of the first times I slept in the Library at school. Me and a friend were at the computers, working on some stuff, but he needed to use mylaptop to do an online test, so I snuggled down on the computer chair and got some shut eye, it was actually just what I needed! I love naps, and I'm afraid to say, I may just turn into one of those people you see curled up on a chair on campus having a little snooze!
So I have had a stuffed/runny nose and random attacks of sneezes, so my mom has been bugging me to do this teapot thing to my nose. It looks like a little teapot pretty much, that flushes your sinuses with warm water and salty stuff..gross eh? I've tried it 2 times(still had a blocked nose after..), and I know for it to be effective, I should do it lots, but the concept just really weirds me out! So I don't know what I'm going to do, but maybe pray my nose clears miracously over night haha, chances of that happening?
Wish me luck on my exams, <y luck of course goes out to you who are taking exams and tests, hopefully relief will be felt so that Christmas can be relaxing and worth while!

getting there..

So Eva Longoria has been in town this week filming a movie, so Sat one of the main downtown streets were going to be closed for a few days to film. On the way to the library with my sister, we decided to swing by, see if we could see anything. We happened to stumble upon where they were filming(behind a ratty mall..) so we pushed school work back and watched a while. It was very cool.

3 weeks, 3 days until I am officially on Christmas break!! I have an exam on Nov 29th that's worth 60% of my final grade..pretty scary! Last week we also found out for my Labour Studies class we can have our text book, notes and laptop. We are getting the essay question the week before, so pretty much, type to essay and transcribe it during the in class exam. how amazing is that! One month off will be SO nice, and hopefully as realaxing as can be! Then visiting time with Liz!! So excited for that! It's going to be really great to get to hang out with a real friend! My friends here are all different, and I don't know..part time I guess. I suppose that's what happens when you're all over the place, you really find who truly wants to keep in touch, and who you want to keep in touch with.

So we are mid November right now, and we haven't gotten even a dusting of snow yet! It's still quite warm for this time of year, and I hate to be a complainer and all..but where's the snow?! Science North(the science center) has Christmas lights up every year in the parking lot, big displays, animated ones, old classic ones. It's quite the tradition to go(usually on the coldest night accidentally), but without snow it just won't be the same! The Santa Clause parade is this coming weekend as well...but where is the snow! That's the best part of winter, cold isn't worth it without the snow.

Hopefully the snow will fly this week!

v-card.

Hello.
Hows it going!
Isn't it funny when people wrote letters, they were sort of started off like a conversation(or was that just me..?)

I felt like I needed some sort of outlet, whether it be a creative, a de-stresser, or idea generator we will see what the day is like! I have been bugged with uni since starting back in September, and have been working pretty much when I'm not in class.

So as my first entry I figured I'm going to keep it short and sweet, a quick hello.

I am hoping to write something everyweek, so I'll try to have something interesting to share!

It is getting to bed time, so I will bid you good night!

xx.
