Holy snow!

So last week was a snow day(day off school because of snow...). For most, but not me haha..evil university people making me walk through that mess. it was perfect temperature though, and when the storm passed it showed just why I can't love away from snow for extended periods of time.winter is truly griseofulvin only people could learn go appreciate it and not compliant. Without it we wouldn't have skiing, outdoor skating rinks, snowmen, snow angels(still have to do one..) And a greater appreciation for warm weather especially! Unfortunately yesterday was an ice day for  other stereotactic the pretty look has gone. Here's hoping for more gorgeous snow!

ZzZzZzZz....

Still 2 weeks after the Christmas holidays, and I am still exhausted! No time to catch up on sleep/rest time when you are a working student, that's for sure! I have been having naps in the afternoons after school and before having to go to work, and I even was literally falling asleep in my Macro Economics class, so I skipped my next class to go home to have a longer sleep before going to work! Slowly but surely I will get there!
We had a snow day this past week, unfortunately I had no school to be cancelled, but it was still a nice day. Stayed in jammies ALL DAY LONG. It was fab.! I love pj days. we are finally getting sizeable snow banks finally, but it has been coldcoldcold in exchange!
I miss the days when you were a young child, and could go out in the snow playing and not care about the coldness - now I would have serious issues with doing that. I have to still do a snow angel this year, and have a lovely blank canvas in the front and back yard!
Will post pictures of my angel-making escapades!

come and gone

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, now back to school.
That near month went by so fast! Probably because I worked crazy lots.
This has been my first Christmas home in 2 years, so it was really nice to be home. We had a good, although it was quiet. Grandma went to visit one of my aunts out of town, so it was just me, mom and sister(and the cats of course!). We didn't have any snow, or any hope of getting snow in the run up to Christmas, but, of course, on Christmas eve snowflakes the size of golf balls were falling! It was a gorgeous night, perfectly cold, no wind, the snow was just falling from the sky. At Science North there's a live nativity put on every Christmas, so we went to see that and was made even better by the snow. And, of course, what could make it better but fireworks at the end of the live nativity? Lovely! Christmas morning was nice too, I love stockings, to me they are the best part of Christmas morning. Mom always makes yummy french toast with berry sauce, very yummy!
We also went to the National Ballet to see the Nutcracker - something I've been waiting almost my whole life to see. It was amazing, the costumes, the sets, the dancing, the music. Love it all so so much. I wish I could dance like the ballerinas could, they are the definition of grace to me.

I got some skis for Christmas, and unfortunately the snow on our local ski hill is going to be very poor with the weather being warm, then freezing cold..ould probably skate down the hill better than ski!

So does that mean going out west is the best option? Any excuse to get out there again, I'll take!
